Tag: letterforms

As my concept of what my typeface will be has developed through the project, I have settled on the idea that rather being conventional letters it will in fact be a set of component parts with which to construct other letterforms out of. With this in mind I have started experimenting with different styles of shapes to create my core components out of. These are inspired by the marks made with a caligraphic pen nib, with sharp terminations and even curves.

I have tried arranging these components into different letterforms to get some idea of the different ways they can be combined.
